Leading international fee-share firm Excello Law has continued its regional expansion with the appointment of two experienced partners: Caroline Gray, a corporate lawyer based in Stoke, and Mick Hewitt, a commercial property specialist based in Manchester.
The appointments further reinforce Excello’s growing presence across its North West and Midlands hubs and reflects continued demand for senior, highly experienced lawyers operating under the firm’s flexible consultant-led model.
Caroline Gray joins Excello from Beswicks Legal as a corporate partner, bringing significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations and commercial contracts, advising clients on both sales and purchases.
Mick Hewitt, a commercial property partner with more than 25 years’ experience, further strengthens Excello’s real estate capabilities across the North West. Joining from previous firm Glaisyers, he has practised throughout his career at leading firms in Manchester.
Mick’s expertise includes large residential and commercial development projects, real estate finance and corporate support on mergers and acquisitions. His recent work includes acting for developers on inner-city development sites across Manchester, Preston and Hull, involving mixed-use schemes with retail and hotel elements.
Jo Losty, COO at Excello welcomed the appointments: “We are delighted to welcome Caroline and Mick to our expanding teams. Their respective expertise in corporate transactions and commercial property further strengthens the depth and breadth of services we can offer clients across the region and beyond. As Excello continues to grow across the UK and beyond, we demonstrate the strength of our model in attracting senior lawyers who want to deliver exceptional client service along with greater autonomy.”
Excello provides an alternative to traditional law firms by enabling experienced lawyers to work as fee-share partners with comprehensive support and infrastructure, or launch their own branded legal practices within Excello’s House of Brands model.
