Foot Anstey strengthens Manchester team with partner promotion for Simon Stubbs

National law firm Foot Anstey has strengthened its Manchester team with a senior promotion and strategic new appointment as part of a wider round of partner promotions across the business.

The firm  has announced five internal partner promotions nationally, with Manchester-based Simon Stubbs among those elevated to partner with effect from 1st May 2026.

Simon has been promoted from Principal Director, a role introduced in 2024 by Foot Anstey to fast‑track talented lawyers to partnership across the firm.

Further bolstering the Manchester team, Jessica Jackson joins as a senior associate from Pinsent Masons and reunites with her former colleagues Simon Stubbs and Thomas Barnett who also joined Foot Anstey last year.

Jessica brings more than fifteen years of litigation experience, including a strong track record in disputes across the renewables, construction and engineering sectors.

The appointments underline the firm’s continued investment in its Manchester office and broader commitment to strengthening its presence in key growth sectors across the North West.
