Impacts of COVID-19 on the Legal Sector

28th April 2020, 8:27 am

Join MCR LawTech on the 7th May for a webinar exploring the impact of COVID-19 on the Legal Sector.

These events are created by individuals from organisations with interests in LegalTech, they are not formally affiliated with any organisation and are intended as a relaxed space to develop the LegalTech community in and around Manchester.

This is the first time we are hosting a Meetup virtually but to follow the usual style which encourages mingling and networking, we are including a virtual drinks session so encourage you to bring a beer/pot of tea/tipple of choice and maybe pour a packet of crisps into a bowl to really recreate the in-person event experience!

How has the legal sector adapted? What technology are we now using? What does this mean for Legal Tech?

Speakers:

Alistair Maiden – CEO Syke Tech

Catriona Wolfenden – Innovation Manager Weightmans

Stuart Whittle – Innovation Director, Weightmans

Chris Ronan – CEO, St John’s Buildings

Format – each speaker will give 10 minutes on the impacts of COVID-19 on different aspects of legal services: design & development sides from a large law firm, the in-house team/GC perspective, and the barrister angle. We will then have a panel Q&A Chaired by Rachel Kenyon, Business Engagement Lead for LegalTech at the University of Manchester.

A Zoom link will be shared with all registered participants via email.
