International Women’s Day Community Event Announced in Manchester

Join us this International Women’s Day for an inspiring conversation about the power of community and hear how one local project united people across Manchester to help save a much‑loved charity.

Catherine D’Albertanson, CEO of The Little Green Sock Project, will share the story of how collective support, generosity, and community spirit ensured the future of the charity, who collect pre-loved and new children’s items to create curated bundles for local families living in poverty or crisis.

She will be joined by Matthew Dashper-Hughes, executive coach and trustee of Alice, a charity in North Staffordshire, supporting families, young people and children living in economic deprivation.

You’ll also hear from the gunnercooke foundation on how giving back to others not only strengthens communities but enriches our own lives. We’ll also celebrate the incredible power of the gunnercooke community, whose willingness to rally together continues to create meaningful, lasting impact.
