Jargon PR Launches in UAE

29th July 2022, 2:06 pm

Jargon PR has today launched an international office in Dubai to service the rapidly growing technology market in the UAE. The agency will focus on business-to-business campaigns and will grow through new client wins and the expansion of existing client campaigns into the region.

Supporting the agency’s growth on the ground with media strategy is Cheryl King of King & Co, who has been in the region for almost eight years. Cheryl will be harnessing her knowledge of the MENA market to provide consultancy and strategic insight as she helps to support the business to continue its growth trajectory.

Cheryl commented: ‘The technology market in the UAE is growing at an incredible rate, with a projected 6.5% increase in IT spend to $8.2 billion between 2020-2023*. Jargon PR’s international client base and established reputation means the agency is perfectly positioned to take advantage of the market opportunity in the UAE. I’m excited to have the opportunity to support here and to provide some market knowledge to the international focus of the team.”

The opening of the operation in the UAE is the first international office for Jargon PR and the fourth opening in total, with the company also having a presence in London, Manchester, and Reading where the company is headquartered. Over 35 staff currently work for Jargon PR, and the company hopes to build on this as it continues to accelerate its growth and solidify its presence in the region:

Simon Corbett, Jargon PR’s founder and CEO, commented: “The UAE has long been a market that we have been actively interested in. The future-focused vision of the UAE’s leadership, the excitement and buzz around Expo 2020 Dubai, and the major focus on further strengthening the UAE’s position as a global hub for technology means that there is a great opportunity to capitalise on when it comes to servicing brands and supporting their growth via communications.

“As a specialist B2B agency, this is the perfect market to expand our international footprint into, and we are looking forward to building our presence in the region.”

The move to the UAE comes following a stellar year for the business, which was recently named ‘Medium Consultancy’ of the year at the PRCA Platinum Awards 2022 earlier this month (July). Most recently, Jargon has also onboarded a number of new team members, including Head of Talent, Miranda Warmington and Executive Director of Media Strategy, Amanda Evans.
