Leadership Development Firm Ends Challenging Year Welcoming New Recruits

Recognised across the North West of England for their unique leadership and management development programmes,  The Oakridge Centre sees out 2020 by welcoming two new recruits and encouraging organisations to recognise the important role of talent development.

COVID 19 has made 2020 a challenging year for all businesses but even more so for The Oakridge Centre as just before the lockdown In March one of the senior directors passed away after a short illness.

“It has been a tough year; however, we have focussed our energy on delivering measurable learning outcomes for our clients. Providing mental health awareness training to our clients is part of our offering so were able to follow our own lessons,” says Brigit Egan, Managing Director of The Oakridge Centre. “Welcoming new team members has been really uplifting for everyone and we are looking forward to providing even more organisations with excellent leadership and development services in 2021.”

The company welcomes Penny Tate as Business Relationship Manager and Simone Robinson as Regional Director for the East of England. “Despite the difficult time everyone has had to cope with we have been made to feel so very welcome and there is a real feeling of optimism across the company,” says Penny whose career background includes extensive knowledge of the renewable energy sector and customer relationship management in the banking, accountancy, and professional services. “The world of work has changed dramatically this year and I am looking forward to working with clients who recognise the importance of lifelong learning”.

Following the loss of their colleague Mark Burbridge the management and staff of The Oakridge Centre have held several events to raise funds for The Christie charity who provided care to Mark during his illness. “Mark will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew him. I have no doubt he would have been pleased with the decision to recruit Penny and Simone who will no doubt help us create a bright future for the company,” says Brigit.
