Graduate Internship Scheme

Our Graduate Internship Scheme has been set up to assist employers in working with our graduates on the basis that they can receive up to £1,250 as match-funding towards hiring one of our graduates on a short term basis.

Here is our FAQ webpage with all the relevant information –  https://www.mmu.ac.uk/careers/employers-and-recruiters/meet-our-students/internships/

I have also attached a useful graphic in case that helps you to spread the word via social media! (A recent LinkedIn post with content here could also be useful)

Any businesses that are interested in accessing the funding should reach out to us using [email protected]

Student Consultancy Projects

We also have wondered if you would be able to share information on our Student Consultancy Project activity.

Manchester Metropolitan University provides Business School students with the opportunity to conduct live projects with businesses in and around the Greater Manchester and NW region. In response to COVID-19, we believe that the support our student consultancy taskforce could offer is more prevalent than ever before.

The activity provides the option for businesses to access vital and skilled resource in the form of undergraduates working on a project specified by organisations and agreed with the University.

Types of Project:

Projects are normally on a business related project, including:

  • Business Planning
  • Market and Consumer Research
  • Social Media Planning
  • Digital Business Strategy
  • Human Resource surveys
  • Project Management

This is not an exhaustive list, and we will assess each project that you submit on its own suitability.

Please see attachments and outline below, and happy to provide any info or answer any questions.

  • Student Projects BD – Email Text – This is some suggested text to send to potential employers. It covers all the necessary information an employer could require re the nature of the projects, as well as outlining next steps.
  • Student Project Employer Support – This is something I’ve put together to try and negate receiving poor quality project briefs from employers.  The document is referenced within the email text so please do include as well.
  • Student Projects Form 2021 – This is the form that employers need to complete and return to [email protected] – It is also referenced within the email text, so please ensure that you include.
