Manage Energy Costs and Build a Net Zero-Ready Business

4th June 2026, 2:29 pm

With energy prices continuing to impact businesses, a series of free events and tools are available to help organisations across Greater Manchester cut costs, build resilience, and take practical steps towards net zero.

A morning briefing in Manchester on 16 July will bring together Green Economy, NatWest and energy expert Kate Mulvany to share the latest outlook on the energy market, alongside practical advice and fully funded support available, including energy assessments, decarbonisation planning and access to grants.

A webinar on 23 June, delivered by GMCA, the Carbon Trust and AECOM, will focus on how businesses can thrive in the transition to a low-carbon economy. Designed for organisations at the start of their sustainability journey, it will cover carbon footprinting, skills development and emerging opportunities.

If you want to understand the current market in more detail, you can also catch up on a recent webinar from Greater Manchester Chamber and Sustainable Energy First, exploring energy trends and how to proactively manage business costs.

There are also resources available to get teams engaged. Bee The Change, a free interactive online game created by GM Green City, offers a simple and accessible way to build awareness around everyday sustainability issues such as energy use, travel and waste.
