Career highlight

A full-circle moment, coming back to a Manchester-based role where I started nearly two decades working in brand and marketing across the country. Now I get to use my skills and experience to help a charity close to my heart and improve young people’s lives in Manchester, where I have been lucky enough to grow up.

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?

The warmth, openness, and dedication of the pro-manchester team and community truly do what they say – making connecting and taking real action possible.

What are your priorities for 2026?

Building relationships with Manchester businesses that want to support Young Adults going through cancer and their families as they navigate an incredibly challenging time. We are looking for partners who want to build partnerships that provide added value for both us and them. This could look like away days, initiative-based donations, fundraising and employee team-building and social events.

What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

Firstly, Bev Craig became the first female mayor of Greater Manchester! She has already led major high-profile initiatives in economic and cultural sectors. Most recently, she made a £2 million investment to improve music rehearsal spaces, production, and jobs across the region. Music is at the heart of the Ella Dawson Foundation so I was really excited to see this level of investment to a huge cornerstone of Manchester culture and for all generations to benefit from.

Are there any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?

Businesses, leaders and teams who care about the young people of Greater Manchester and their families who are going through a cancer diagnosis. We want to connect and partner with those who want to fundraise, donate, create lasting change for our communities and have fun along the way. We’d love to hear from you!
