Introduce yourself

My name is Elan and I am Director and Principal Consultant at Modus Cybersecurity.

Career highlight

A few years back I worked with a small team of people to build a Cybersecurity function from scratch for a PE owned Global company. It involved frequent travel to Europe and South America and ultimately left the organisation in a much better state to handle Cyber threats.

Name three words that describe your personality

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester

The sheer variety of events coupled with the infectious enthusiasm of all the event organisers made it a no-brainer to join the community. Looking forward to learning more about industries outside Cyber.

What are your priorities for 2026?

Grow the Modus Cybersecurity brand, helping organisations understand their Cybersecurity and AI exposure and position.

What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

The change in Prime Minister is shining a light on the local economy and the organisations that are headquartered or have a significant presence in the city. This will get even more exciting in the run up to the G20 conference in Nov 2027.

Favourite meeting place in Manchester

Manchester has some amazing hotels and catching up with London in the quality stakes, they make great meeting places. The Lowry is great for early morning meetings. However, anywhere with good food and low volume music allowing good conversation.

Are there any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?

All businesses who want to understand their current Cybersecurity and AI position especially related to their critical systems, what potential exposure and threats they face and what they can do about them.
