Introduce yourself
I’m Evie, Digital Content & Social Media Lead at Manchester Youth Zone, a vibrant youth centre at the heart of North Manchester supporting over 4,000 young people aged 8–19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs. I joined the organisation in October 2024 as a Content Creator Apprentice, achieving a distinction in December 2025 before progressing into my current role. I’m passionate about creating engaging content that showcases the incredible impact Manchester Youth Zone has on young people’s lives.
Career highlight
I’ve had many highlights during my time at Manchester Youth Zone, but one of the biggest has to be winning Apprentice of the Year at the Made in Manchester Awards 2026. That said, working at MYZ every day is a highlight in itself because of the amazing work we do to support young people across Manchester.
Name three words that describe your personality
Organised, positive and driven.
What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?
The people. I’m grateful to be part of the Future-Pro committee alongside so many talented and inspiring young professionals. It’s fantastic to be part of something that brings together businesses from across Greater Manchester and creates opportunities to build meaningful connections.
What are your priorities for 2026?
My priorities are to continue developing in my role at Manchester Youth Zone, work towards the next stage of my career, and hopefully begin a new apprenticeship in September. I also want to continue expanding my network and attend more Future-Pro events throughout the year.
What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?
Manchester continues to create fantastic opportunities for young professionals, particularly through networking groups and initiatives like Future-Pro. It’s great to see so many platforms that help people build connections, develop professionally and get involved in the city’s thriving business community.
Favourite meeting place in Manchester
That’s a tough one, as there are so many great places across the city. I’ve had some fantastic meetings at Rider Levett Bucknall, who have kindly provided meeting rooms for some of the MYZ team.
Are there any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?
I’d love to connect with businesses that are passionate about supporting charities, there are lots of opportunities for organisations to get involved with Manchester Youth Zone.
