1. Introduce yourself
My name is George, and I am the head of PPC at Embryo. I am a results-driven PPC specialist with almost 10 years of experience working with a wide variety of B2C and B2B clients which have spread across European and international markets. I take pride in building strong internal and external relationships to ensure maximum synergy when it comes to a client’s strategy and KPIs.
2. Career highlight
Aside from client wins and awards, I am most proud of being the 2nd PPC hire at Embryo back in 2020. 5 years later, we are a team of 9 and generate over £2m in annual revenue. It’s very rewarding to have worked with and managed so many talented individuals who have gone on to achieve great things within the PPC space.
3. Name three words that describe your personality
Inquisitive, personable and Ambitious.
4. What’s the best thing about pro-manchester
Of course, the events spring to mind, but above all else, I would say the community. Having the ability to meet so many like-minded professionals in one space, for me, is what makes pro-manchester stand out.
5. What are your priorities for 2025
My main priority for 2025 is to continue to grow my team in a way which highlights the importance of each individual within it. I would like two new individuals to be put forward for a UK search award. Aside from this, I would like to collaborate on a networking event which includes one of my two favourite things, Golf and Padel!
6. What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?
For me, it’s the movements which are being built around bringing people together regardless of their personal or professional backgrounds. One which stands out at the moment is Made Running, which is a run club founded in 2023. They have recently partnered up with Adidas, which is a credit to the work they’re doing in Manchester at the moment. Their tagline is “no one gets left behind”, which I think should epitomise the importance of togetherness, whether that be in a personal sense or professional.
Another really important event on the horizon is Soccer Aid for UNICEF, this year it will be held on the 15th June at Old Trafford. This is a standout event in the calendar, which brings people together from all over the world. With the main focus being to protect play for every child, the money raised helps UNICEF deliver vital programmes which provide therapeutic food, healthcare, safe spaces and crisis support around the world, all helping children grow up safe, healthy and able to play.
7. Favourite meeting place in Manchester
One Eight Six, Flat Iron and Hawksmoor
8. Are there any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?
Any businesses that have a willingness to stand out, test new creative boundaries, take calculated risks, have an open mind to growth strategies etc. I think for me, businesses which are happy to learn from failures consistently are the ones which remain at the forefront of innovation and growth.
