Member Spotlight: Geraldine Finn, Associate Director of Marketing and Business Development at Menzies LLP.

11th December 2025, 9:38 am

I’m Geraldine Finn, Social Value Lead and Associate Director of Marketing and Business Development at Menzies LLP. I previously sat on the Operations Board at Beever & Struthers (now part of Menzies LLP) and have helped shape our EVP (Employer Value Proposition) and people-centred culture. I’m also an active member of the pro-manchester Social Mobility Committee and the Greater Manchester Social Value Network, supporting inclusive growth, social mobility and measurable social impact across the region.

Career highlight

A real career highlight has been embedding social value into both our client work and our internal culture moving it from a “nice to have” into something structured, measurable and meaningful. I’m also proud of the leadership role I played at Beever & Struthers, shaping our EVP and culture, and supporting the transition into Menzies LLP while keeping people, purpose and community impact central.

Name three words that describe your personality

Purposeful, collaborative and driven.

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?

pro-manchester is a brilliant connector for the Manchester business community. It brings together leaders across professional services, finance, tech and the not-for-profit sector, creating genuine collaboration and high-quality networks. I value the focus on talent, inclusive growth and meaningful conversations that reflect Manchester’s ambition and economic momentum.

What are your priorities for 2026?

My priorities for 2026 are to raise the profile of Menzies LLP in Manchester and the North West, strengthen relationships and partnerships across the region, and continue building a culture where people feel supported and can thrive. Alongside this, I’m focused on social value outcomes supporting organisations to deliver community impact, strengthen ESG thinking and improve social mobility.

What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

Manchester continues to grow as one of the UK’s leading regional economies, with strong momentum across professional services, financial services, technology and advanced industries. The key opportunity now is ensuring this growth is inclusive, through skills development, housing, sustainability and community investment so local people and places benefit from the city-region’s success.

Favourite meeting place in Manchester

Hallé St Peter’s — a calm, welcoming space in the city that’s ideal for thoughtful meetings and good conversations.

Are there any particular types of businesses you would like to meet?

I’m keen to connect with Manchester and North West businesses looking for a proactive, client-focused firm of accountants and business advisers. Menzies LLP is a Top 25 UK accountancy and business advisory firm (Accountancy Age 2025) with 11 UK locations and specialist teams across sectors including social housing, charities, education and owner-managed businesses. I’m especially interested in organisations looking to grow sustainably and strengthen their social value and community impact.
