Introduce yourself:
I’m Hannah Matthewman, Head of Brand at Embryo. I have been working in digital marketing for over 10 years and use my experience and industry knowledge to ensure Embryo stays true to its values and mission.
Name three words that describe your personality:
Organised, dedicated and supportive
What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?
The events they run are great as there’s such a variety, so being a corporate member is a great way for a business to find something for the needs and interests of all team members. The committees are also a great way to meet new people and develop skills too. I did something similar with another organisation, and it was the best way I created my network and have the skills I have today.
What are your priorities for 2025?
This year is a different one, as I’ll be going on maternity leave in August and starting a whole new role as a mum. Therefore, one of my top priorities is launching Embryo’s new brand and ensuring my team is prepared for the rest of the year when I’m off. Fortunately, I have a fantastic team that manages the Embryo brand, and I’m really excited to see them execute the plans we have in place and how much Embryo will grow and develop.
What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?
It’s great to see Manchester developing so quickly, and businesses choosing the area for their headquarters. I’ve always thought of Manchester as a ‘village’ where its members are supportive of one another and collaborate to achieve amazing things, so for me, the more talent we have in the area is key for the future success.
Favourite meeting place in Manchester:
Albert Schloss is great for working lunches or after-work drinks. For meetings, I love Ezra and Gil.
