Introduce yourself

Hi! I’m Ivan, and I am the Groups Coordinator looking after group reservations at Hyatt Hotels Manchester.

My Hyatt journey began almost two years ago when I joined as a Reservations Agent. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work across a cluster of five Hyatt properties, two in Manchester and three in London. It’s been a fantastic experience that has allowed me to develop my skills, work with a wide variety of clients, and gain valuable insight into different markets and hotel operations.

Career highlight

One of the biggest highlights of my career has been joining and supporting a cluster of five Hyatt properties across Manchester and London. As a Cluster Reservations Agent, much of my work happens behind the scenes, coordinating bookings, managing group business, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Working across multiple hotels can be challenging at times, but I genuinely enjoy problem-solving and taking on new challenges. The experience has given me a unique perspective on the hospitality industry and helped me grow both professionally and personally.

Calm, passionate and adaptable.

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?

The best thing about pro-manchester is connecting with professionals from a variety of industries. It is a fantastic opportunity to build connections, share ideas and collaborate.

What are your priorities for 2026?

My main priority is settling into my new position and continuing to grow my knowledge of the industry. I am also, focused on of course exploring opportunities that will help us prepare for even stronger 2027.

What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

Well, Manchester is such an amazing city. It changes so quickly, and I feel like it nothing like the city I moved to 10 years ago. There are definitely more opportunities than ever, with hosting the Brits and now Number 10 North, the city is attracting increasing attention as a place to live, work and invest. For me the most important thing is to embrace innovation, to be creative and make the most of Manchester’s enormous potential.

Favourite meeting place in Manchester

My absolute favourite places are the gay village and of course northern quarter.

Are there any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet

I would love to connect with businesses that bring people to Manchester, particularly sports, travel, education, healthcare, technology and entertainment.
