Introduce yourself
Hi, I’m Jess, Head of Organic at Embryo in Manchester. With over a decade in digital marketing, I specialise in combining data and creativity to build killer organic strategies. I’m passionate about aligning cross-channel efforts with real business goals, and I thrive on building strong relationships, whether that’s developing talent within my team or driving results for clients.
Career highlight
The first time I spoke at BrightonSEO, back in 2022. Taking the stage at one of the industry’s most respected conferences was incredibly scary (it was the first time I’d done any public speaking). It boosted my confidence, but it also helped me build new connections in the industry.

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester
The networking opportunities and being able to connect with peers throughout Manchester to learn about how they’re tackling challenges in the industry.
What are your priorities for 2026
One of my priorities is understanding how we can champion innovation in the organic sector of marketing. AI is creating a lot of changes in how we search, so getting ahead of how businesses can capitalise on this is key.
Another priority is to elevate organic marketing with strategic and creative thinking. Historically, SEO has been a big tick box exercise, but with the industry evolving, SEOs need to think more strategically to ensure they’re providing work that impacts the clients bottom line and creativity can be the key to making sure organic marketing cuts through the noise.
