Introduce yourself:

Hi, I’m Laura! I’m the Senior Events Producer at TLC. I’ve worked at TLC for 7 years in various different roles first starting as an intern back in 2015. Here at TLC, I oversee our events and play a large hand in conceptualising, budgeting, planning & executing live events whilst working closely with CEO Liz Taylor, BDM Goldie Chadowitz and our incredible clientele.

Career highlight:

I have a huge passion for the events industry. My favourite thing about my career, is the versatility of the events we organise, where this job can take me as well as the different clients I get to meet and have worked with over the years and building those long-lasting relationships. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel the world for the most extraordinary parties & weddings. From Paris & Mallorca to Barbados, as well as some amazing locations here in the UK. Not everyone gets this opportunity and I feel extremely grateful to be a part of an industry and business that has allowed me to do this.

If I had to choose a particular event, it would be flying to Barbados in 2023 to plan the wedding of a lifetime for a very special client. We planned and executed four days of wedding activities for 200 guests. It took a lot of logistical planning and meticulous attention to detail from the moment guests arrived at their hotel, to the moment they left the island. We worked with the most exquisite luxury venues the island has, each entirely different & unique with incredible views, food, beverage & entertainment. It’s an experience I will never forget, and I feel so privileged to have been a part of.

Name three words that describe your personality:

Approachable, Ambitious, Trustworthy

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?

It provides you with a platform and network to meet new & like-minded businesses, learn what’s happening in and around Manchester as well as providing an opportunity to showcase & celebrate the work your own businesses has been up to.

What are your priorities for 2025?

I would love to connect with more industry professionals, expand my network in Manchester and see how TLC can help and assist businesses with their event planning.

What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

Manchester is growing year on year. There is a large focus maximising inbound tourism to the city. We have had amazing new venues such as The Co-op Live Arena and Factory International opening in 2024 as well as Treehouse Hotel, The St Michaels Development on Jackson’s Row & Campfield on Quay Street opening this year in 2025. This has meant there has been a large increase for new businesses to move into the city centre, apartments and accommodation available for visitors to stay overnight and live events and entertainment making use of the event spaces putting Manchester’s profile on the map, improve the city’s economy and create jobs for thousands of people. As an events business, we thrive in this environment as these new developments allow us to create first class experiences for our clients.

Favourite meeting place in Manchester?

Spinningfields, this is such a versatile area with unique cool trendy bars, restaurants and outdoor spaces. A central hub to the manchester city centre.

Are their any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?

I would like to meet with members & businesses who would like to chat about how TLC may be able to assist them with their event programme and see how we can help you no matter how small or big.
