Introduce yourself

Hi!

I’m Lucyann, Sales Executive at The Hyatt Regency and Hyatt House Hotels Manchester.

I’ve been with Hyatt a little over a year now since moving back to the UK after living in Amsterdam and working as a Meeting and Events Specialist for Radisson Hotels.

I graduated (or at least tried to) in 2020, from Sheffield Hallam in International Meetings and Events Management with Tourism. I’ve been in the hospitality industry since turning 16 and have done everything from hosting and bussing, to bar supervisor and MD.

Career highlight

In one of my previous roles as a Weddings Coordinator, I got to see some beautiful, special celebrations. It was an amazing feeling being able to take a couple’s vision and bring it to life, often better than they had ever even expected!

I’ve created weddings with llamas as groomsmen, dogs as ringbearers and grandma-bridesmaids, there is truly never two days the same when it comes to wedding planning. To be there on the morning of the wedding and feel the anticipation and excitement, all the way through to serving the last drink ordered at the bar is an honour and making those once in a lifetime memories is something I’ll truly never forget.

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?

The events that you are able to attend offer real opportunities to make authentic connections and network in a way that feels very natural. I’ve made many friends throughout the city through attending events from all kinds of industries that I wouldn’t usually get the chance to mix with otherwise.

Now that the sun is out, it is the place to be as we have a new summer cocktail menu including frozen margaritas which I’ve of course had to try all flavours!

Alternatively, if you’re looking for some amazing, authentic Vietnamese food and a sing-song, you have to try OnlyPhoU near Salford Central Train Station.

Are there any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?

I look after all things corporate here at the hotels, so if any businesses have colleagues or clients visiting the city for work and are looking to stay with a reliable, globally recognised hotel chain in the heart of the innovation district, I’m the best person to get in touch with regarding all things Hyatt.

Businesses that have project work or extended stay needs in Manchester are welcome to get in touch as we have our wonderful Hyatt House apart-hotel, featuring spacious studios and 1-bedroom apartments, perfect for longer stays, and that ‘home away from home’ feeling in the city.

We also have an array of meeting rooms; from 6-person boardroom’s all the way up to our 215-person conference room so if businesses have any meetings and event requirements, we can host anything from weddings and Christmas parties, to trade shows and company away days!
