I’m Pallab Banerjee, CEO at Inceptial Technologies, based in Manchester. I work with organisations to build global technology teams, accelerate their AI journey and turn technology into practical business outcomes. I’m a Solution Architect at heart and enjoy bringing together technology, people and business.

Career highlight

A big highlight has been building my career across some fantastic technology organisations, including Cisco, Microsoft and Ericsson, which gave me a strong technical foundation and exposure to different technologies, industries and ways of solving complex problems. Today, I’m fortunate to combine that technical acumen with business leadership at Inceptial.

Name three words that describe your personality

Curious. Driven. Pragmatic.

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?

The people and the connectivity. pro-manchester brings together businesses from completely different sectors, creating opportunities to share ideas, build relationships and collaborate. Manchester has a very strong sense of community, and pro-manchester reflects that really well.

What are your priorities for 2026?

I want to help more organisations move from AI experimentation to real-world adoption, while also helping businesses build effective global engineering teams. Beyond that, I’d like to contribute more to Manchester’s technology ecosystem — sharing knowledge, creating connections and helping businesses make the most of the opportunities that AI and emerging technologies are creating.

What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

Manchester is continuing to establish itself as one of the UK’s strongest technology and innovation hubs, with a great combination of talent, universities, entrepreneurs and established businesses. With Andy Burnham continuing to champion the region and the new Prime Minister and government shaping the next phase of the UK’s growth agenda, I think there’s a real opportunity for Manchester to play an even bigger role in the UK’s technology, AI and economic future.

Favourite meeting place in Manchester

Such a vibrant city, with so many amazing offices, cafés, restaurants and meeting spaces. It’s genuinely hard to choose! I enjoy changing it up depending on the conversation — Manchester has no shortage of great places to meet.

Are there any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?

I’d particularly like to meet ambitious Manchester-based businesses exploring AI, digital transformation or global engineering teams. I’m always interested in meeting people who are building something, solving an interesting problem or simply thinking differently about how technology can help their business.
