My name is Sharon Lannigan and I live on the on the Isle of Man. I am a Director of Business Development and Marketing for Sovereign Trust (Isle of Man) Limited. We are corporate service provider in the Isle of Man, providing global wealth solutions for all types of clients.
Career highlight
It has to be being asked to join the board of Sovereign Trust (Isle of Man) Limited last year. I struggle with Irlen Syndrome and therefore can struggle with the written word, this has meant that I have been overlooked may times in my career. The team here recognised my skills and make me feel valued.

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?
Networking. There is a real focus on bringing the right people together and offering opportunities to make new contacts.
What are your priorities for 2026?
For us at Sovereign Trust (Isle of Man) Limited our 2026 focus is with increasing business. We can offer a variety of bespoke global solutions for all types of businesses and individuals.
We at Sovereign Trust ( Isle of Man) Limited feel that there is lot of new development and new business opportunities evolving in Manchester and the North West. We see this city as becoming a major player worldwide. We are excited to be part of Pro-Manchester and support those businesses with the wealth planning.
Favourite meeting place in Manchester
I must admit I really enjoyed the Pro-Manchester event at the Kilmpton Clocktower Hotel, however Manchester has such a variety of lovely places to meet over coffee and chat, it unfair to pick one one.
Are their any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?
I have been making contact with many of the professional advisors in Manchester, as many of our enquiries require advice, however I do hope that Pro-Manchester also proves the opportunity for other business to understand more about what we can do for them, and their businesses when considering wealth and succession planning. Offshore structures can add value in a variety of ways and offer global flexibility. Additionally Sovereign Group can support clients with companies registered in Enlgand and Wales, taking the stress out the back office administration tasks.
