Introduce yourself

Hi, I’m Sophie Booth, Co-Founder of We Are PROPA, a recruitment company specifically focusing on the property industry. Small but mighty, We Are PROPA consists of just me and my business partner, Sarah meaning we can keep our service personal, tailored and fun!

Career highlight

Rebranding to We Are PROPA earlier this year has absolutely been my career highlight. After setting up and operating under a different brand, our first year went well but with no real strategy. The rebrand completely refined our focus, target audience and our confidence. It completely reflects us as people and has made us much more recognisable too, win win!

Name three words that describe your personality

I asked my business partner to answer this one for me and she came back with caring, fun, and a bit chaotic!

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?

The best thing about pro-Manchester is the people. No questions! All members and staff seem to be likeminded, friendly, approachable and business-minded. The events we have attended have been so varied and we’ve always come away with something valuable. From the large scale IWD event to the smaller member events addressing specific challenges and topics, they’re all very interesting and there’s definitely something for everyone.

What are your priorities for 2026?

We have several new services in the making so our utmost priority this year is to get them fully developed and launched to our client base and beyond. Sarah and I are so passionate about solid people onboarding and recruiting for long-term fit. We appreciate that a lot of owner-managed companies don’t have the capacity or experience to manage this properly, and this is where things can sometimes go awry with new hires. Our new services have been designed to plug that gap.

What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

As we have such a vested interest in the property sector, this is really one of the most important things to us at the moment. We are so happy to see the regeneration of certain areas in Manchester, the creation of new homes, better connected public spaces and improved transport links. It’s an exciting property boom and driving a huge population growth. All things we love to see!

Favourite meeting place in Manchester

That’s such a tough one to answer as there’s so many incredible new places in Manchester now. But we are real suckers for a chat over a coffee & a croissant at Half Dozen Other.

Are their any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?

We are people people and love meeting businesses from all industries, particularly owner-managed companies so we can share support, knowledge and advice. As we recruit specifically in property, we have a particular interest in meeting other companies in the industry that focus on sales, lettings, management, project management & surveying.
