Manchester Metropolitan University – The Digital Marketing Degree Apprenticeship

3rd July 2020, 3:19 pm

We launched our Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship last year, and it’s gone amazingly well.

Degree Apprenticeships can be used to upskill existing members of staff, as well as attracting new talent.

All costs are eligible for levy funding. The maximum cost to even non-levy payers is £1050, spread over four years.

We have been extremely impressed with the success and achievements of our first cohort of Digital Marketer apprentices. The feedback is that apprentices (some already in senior roles) have really progressed, and have been stretched beyond their existing qualifications and ways of working.

They’ve grown in confidence, and are already making changes in the business, informed by their new knowledge from the programme, giving great return on investment.

The year 1 cohort includes people from digital and marketing agencies, manufacturers, and public sector colleagues who are transforming the way they serve and communicate with their communities. This sector mix gives a rich experience and learning environment as apprentices learn from each other, as well as from the lecturers.

THE DIGITAL MARKETER DEGREE APPRENTICESHIP
Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship graduates will be fully equipped to lead on the creation and execution of digital marketing strategy. They will be prepared for the challenges of operating in a rapidly changing digital world, benefiting from real-world best practice combined with innovative academic thinking.

AWARD-WINNING DEGREE APPRENTICESHIPS
Manchester Metropolitan University is one of the most popular universities in the UK, currently educating over 34,000 students. The University takes its responsibility for creating work-ready graduates very seriously and maintains close industry and business links.

Our Degree Apprenticeships are practice-focussed. They equip our apprentices with the skills to ensure they are ready to take on the industrial challenges of tomorrow and make their mark. We develop our programmes in partnership with employers, to meet the needs of industry and individuals.

“Manchester Metropolitan University’s Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship has been created by industry for industry. The programme is challenging to ensure apprentices are stretched and grow into the high calibre digital marketers of the future.  Degree apprenticeships are becoming a more recognised and respected route into the workplace by young people, parents and guardians and educators.  As an employer, Nestlé embraces the opportunity to attract driven young people who want to harness their energy to embark on their career and intertwine their learning experiences. It’s a privilege to watch these individuals bring their talents to bear and take our business forward.”
