Myerson has advised WUKPG on the purchase of the former Airbags International site on Viking Way, Congleton.
The facility, previously operated by Autoliv, closed earlier this year, bringing an end to decades of manufacturing activity and leaving a substantial industrial site of around 300,000 sq. ft available for redevelopment. The acquisition marks an important step in unlocking the site’s future potential and bringing fresh investment into the area.
Myerson’s Commercial Property Team supported the transaction, with Partner Sarah Cowen acting for WUKPG throughout the acquisition process.
Sarah Cowen, Partner at Myerson, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for Congleton. The former Airbags factory is a landmark site with enormous scope for renewal, and we are pleased to have supported WUKPG in securing an asset that can be reimagined to meet modern industrial demand.”
Myerson continues to advise clients on major industrial and commercial property transactions across the North West and beyond.
