Myerson Appoints Dora Bumber as First Head of Risk & Compliance

Altrincham, Greater Manchester, 16th July 2025 – Myerson Solicitors, a top 200 UK full-service law firm, and the first in Manchester to adopt an employee-owned model, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dora Bumber as its new Head of Risk & Compliance. This is a newly created role as the firm continues to scale its operations and enhance its governance infrastructure.
Dora joins from gunnercooke llp, where she was Senior Compliance Manager. At gunnercooke, Dora oversaw firmwide compliance policies and procedures, with a strong focus on anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CFT) regulations, as well as adherence to Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Codes of Conduct.
The creation of this new role reflects Myerson’s ongoing investment in its operations as the firm continues to grow. With over 160 employees and more than 25 partners, and following 15% organic growth last year, the firm is strengthening its approach to risk and compliance to support future expansion and maintain the highest standards of professional conduct.
Dora will report to Chief Operating Officer Richard Lloyd, who commented: “We are delighted to welcome Dora to Myerson.
