Top 200 UK firm Myerson Solicitors has been shortlisted in four categories at the Manchester Legal Awards (MLA) 2026, one of the region’s most prestigious celebrations of legal excellence. The ceremony will take place on Thursday 2nd July at a gala event bringing together the North West legal community.
Myerson has been shortlisted in the following categories:
- Corporate Culture and Wellbeing Champions of the Year
- Corporate/Commercial Team of the Year
- Property Team of the Year
- Large Law Firm of the Year
The Corporate Culture and Wellbeing nomination reflects Myerson’s unique position as a 100% employee-owned firm, a model that remains genuinely rare in the UK, and indeed very distinctive amongst Manchester’s law firms. Employee ownership is not simply a structural arrangement at Myerson; it is the foundation of a culture where every member of the team has a direct stake in the firm’s success, work-life balance is genuinely prioritised, and colleagues are empowered to do their best work.
The nominations for Corporate/Commercial Team of the Year and Property Team of the Year reflect the strength of Myerson’s specialist lawyers. Both teams consistently advise on complex, high-value matters, delivering a level of expertise that rivals any firm in the region and demonstrates that top-tier legal talent extends well beyond the city centre.
The shortlisting also highlights Myerson’s continued growth across the North West. Now with more than 165 employees and over 25 partners, the Altrincham-based firm advises regional, national and international private and business clients, including high-net-worth individuals, on sophisticated and often high-value work. Being shortlisted at the Manchester Legal Awards reflects the firm’s growing influence in the regional legal landscape.
Carl Newton, CEO of Myerson comments: “We are absolutely delighted to be recognised across four categories at the Manchester Legal Awards this year. These nominations mean a great deal to everyone at Myerson, because they reflect the commitment, talent and hard work of our entire team.
As a 100% employee-owned firm, Myerson is genuinely unique in Manchester. Our people don’t just work here; they own the business, and that shapes everything about how we operate, the culture we nurture, and the care we invest in every client relationship. The nominations for our Corporate/Commercial and Property teams also speak to the quality of the experts we have in those areas. We have the expertise, the capacity and the ambition to compete at the very highest level, and we’re proud to prove it.”
Myerson Solicitors extends its congratulations to all firms and individuals shortlisted across the awards.
