Myerson Marks January Milestones for Long-Serving Colleagues

Myerson Solicitors is marking January milestones for three long-serving colleagues, recognising their contribution to the firm’s growth over the past two decades.

1. Akeel Latif and Adam Maher, both Board Members and recognised by Legal 500 as Leading Partners, are celebrating 25 years and 20 years with Myerson respectively. Both were involved in Myerson’s transition to employee-ownership in 2024 and have played a significant role in the growth of the firm’s core practice areas.
2. Akeel Latif is Partner and Head of the Corporate and Commercial Department. He advises on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters for clients ranging from OMBs/SMEs to large organisations. He has led the growth of Myerson’s corporate practice into one of the largest corporate teams in the North West outside of a city centre and is closely involved in the firm’s international relationships through the MSI Global Alliance, as well as leading its legal services offering for in-house lawyers.

Reflecting on his milestone, Akeel said: “I’ve been at Myerson for 25 years and it genuinely doesn’t feel like it. I’ve enjoyed being part of the firm for so long and growing alongside it. It’s been rewarding to see how Myerson has evolved over the years, and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved.”

Adam Maher is Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution. Under his leadership, the department has grown into one of the largest and most experienced litigation teams in the North West, encompassing commercial litigation, an award-winning Probate Litigation team and a specialist Commercial Agencies practice. The team has the scale and expertise to handle complex, high-value disputes and to supervise High Court search orders on behalf of other law firms and the Court.

Adam commented: “I joined Myerson in 2006, when the firm had around 35 people; today we are more than 160. It’s been rewarding to be part of that growth, while seeing the firm retain its culture and focus on quality.”

The firm is also marking 25 years with Myerson for Pam Ackerley. Pam is a Senior Legal PA in the Family Team and joined the firm in 2001, having previously supported the Residential Property Department.
