Night time economy transport update

The Mayor has announced a series of bus announcements including the two new night buses on the 17 & 135, and a commitment to extend the existing trial services on the V1& 36.

From 4 September, two new 24-hour pilot bus services will run on the 135 (Manchester – Whitefield – Bury) and 17 (Manchester – Middleton – Rochdale). The round-the-clock buses will serve key employment sites and hospitality spots on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. These services will benefit from same £2 fare that applies in the day to make it as simple and affordable as possible.

Half-price bus travel for 18-21 year olds with new bus passes now available, which will be only £40 for 28 days of unlimited travel. This is Equivalent to just £1.43/day on any Bee Network bus.

Free travel available for for 16–18 year olds through the Bee Network app, with over 15,000 young people having already applied this year.
