NWBLT and London First Apprenticeship Review Survey

19th September 2019, 12:16 pm

London First and the North West Business Leadership Team have come together to collaborate on a report on the state of apprenticeships in England.
The purpose of the report is to make a clear set of recommendations to Government about what reforms are needed to ensure that apprenticeships policy supports UK businesses.
The report will be released later this year.
This survey will close on Monday 30th September
What is the purpose of this survey?

To allow businesses in London, the North West and beyond to provide feedback to Government on the Apprenticeship Levy reforms of 2017, including the reform’s impact on businesses’ ability and willingness to:
  • engage with the apprenticeship system;
  • hire apprentices;
  • access funding;
  • adapt to other reforms, including the transition from Frameworks to Standards underpinning apprenticeships.
For information on the apprenticeship levy and the 2017 reforms please visit this government website. Please note: a levy payer is an employer with an annual salary bill of more than £3m.
Who should respond to this survey?

Businesses of all sizes which interact with the apprenticeship system, including levy and non-levy paying businesses which currently – or would like to – hire apprentices, and those which pay the Apprenticeship Levy but do not hire apprentices.

This survey is not designed for training providers or policy makers for the apprenticeship system – these are being consulted separately and their thoughts included in the final report.

What will my answers be used for?

Your response will be aggregated with those of other businesses to provide an up-to-date picture on what is working and what is not working with regards to apprenticeships policy.

We will not publish individual responses or comments. All data will be held securely and in confidence.

What else do I need to know?

There are 23 questions in total, and the survey should take no longer than 8 minutes to complete. No identifying information will be collected and your answers will remain anonymous.

The survey can be found here – https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/D5YPNKYclosing date is 30th September.
