Oakridge’s STRIDE programme is open for business

15th August 2019, 11:50 am

STRIDE is a dedicated 6-month programme aimed at supporting female talent across the North West. STRIDE was developed and launched in 2013 at the request of a number of clients, who could not find any support for women at middle management level and in particular across the North of the UK.

Cohort 16 of the programme starts on September 17th and there are a few places remaining.

STRIDE consists of 3 x 1-day workshops, 1:1 coaching sessions, a range of webinars, networking events and pre and post workshop support materials.

Our aim for the programme, is it equips women to:

• Be the best versions of themselves and become a role model to others • Feel that they can be true to themselves, and what they believe in and stand for, whilst being successful too • Stay true to their values whilst navigating the next career progression • Not feel they have to emulate men but make the most of the intrinsic set of skills they bring

Within STRIDE we aim to create a ‘safe’ environment for women to explore key areas, challenges and learn, not only from the facilitators, but also from each other. Hundreds of women have now been through the 6-month programme and we hear from them that:

• They feel braver and stronger as a result of attending STRIDE • It has given then the belief that they can drive things forward with confidence • It has changed how they now look at things • Confidence is increased significantly • It is reassuring to know that we all have the same experiences and challenges • STRIDE gives the people attending a unique opportunity to stop, think and prioritise • It supports delegates to really challenge their own thinking and awareness
