Oh What a Night – the pro-manchester Annual Dinner returns.

12th November 2021, 2:47 pm

pro-manchester members and guests gathered together for an evening of fun and frivolity on Thursday 11th November in celebration of the return of the organisation’s flagship Annual Dinner. After an unavoidable hiatus the event welcomed over 300 individuals from the Manchester business community for an evening to remember.

Hosted in The Point, the Emirates Old Trafford’s impressive events space was transformed into a glittering ballroom with guests enjoying a sparkling drinks reception, dinner and an evening of entertainment provided in the form of illusionist and mind reader Alex Crow, one of the top mind readers in the UK.

The fun didn’t stop there as guests danced the night away to music provided by the band The DeadBeats who brought high tempo celebratory vibes well into the early morning. If that wasn’t enough, there were ‘Speed Monopoly’ tables for guests to play at, courtesy of Alternate Experiences

Although speeches were purposely kept to a minimum, dinner guests did hear from pro-manchester Chairman Anthony Morrow.  In an empowering and motivational speech Anthony urged business to be more mindful of the inclusivity agenda. He encouraged businesses to ensure that ‘no one be left behind’ as we rebuild from the pandemic with a specific focus on recruitment and investing in our young local talent.

The event which was sponsored by businesses including Together, Virgin Money, Electricity NorthWest and Vision Events  and was also raising funds for pro-manchester’s nominated charity, HideOut Youth Zone. A charity draw providing guests the opportunity to win some fabulous prizes donated by Manchester firms.

After months of lockdown, restrictions and more it was clear that fun was at the top of the agenda for all involved making the evening a roaring success setting the tone for a year of renewed optimism and opportunity.
