Open Call for industry partners to receive fully funded, tailored research consultancy

13th October 2020, 4:07 pm

Collaboration Labs supports businesses and not-for-profit organisations in the UK and abroad with fully funded research expertise tailored to their needs.

The University of Manchester and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) are inviting industry partners to submit project proposals for the second round of Collaboration Labs.

The programme invites industry partners to identify specific challenges or desired outcomes to which PhD researchers respond by co-designing solution, in order to support business development, impact and growth.

The scheme is open to all types of business in the UK and abroad (from sole trader up, including social enterprises), and they especially welcome applications from SMEs. They also support applications from cultural and third sector organisations.

Partners will receive 20-50 days (FTE) of dedicated research support from an interdisciplinary team of PhD and Early Career researchers (two to four members), who will receive full funding as well as professional training and coaching for the whole period, from project ideation to completion.

Application for partners is open until 15 November 2020. Projects will be developed in February 2021 and delivered between March and June 2021.

For more details and information on how to submit a proposal, please visit the programme’s webpage, where you will also find a list of the current projects.
