Introduce yourself:

Hola, I’m Oscar. I was born in Spain and moved to the UK in 2013 to learn English for six months. After arriving in Manchester, the plan changed quickly. I love working hard and playing hard because time is precious. You can find me at the office, playing football, at the gym, hiking, or walking my poodle.

Career highlight:

Building teams in both Manchester and Edinburgh.

Name three words that describe your personality:

Resilient. Passionate. Direct.

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?

The energy from the organisers and the members. It’s easier to be proactive here than in other places.

What are your priorities for 2025?

I want to hire an experienced professional at Amarillo to take over the fractional Finance Director work I do now for some of our clients so I can fully focus on growth. Also, I’m setting up a new business called Babella Pay, an umbrella company for temporary workers, around November.

Favourite meeting place in Manchester?

The Old Fire Station for coffee, the Marble Arch for lunch and the Northern Quarter for drinks.

Are their any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?

We work only with Limited Companies in the professional services sector. We love working with marketing agencies and consultants who want to scale. I’m also especially interested in meeting recruitment agencies to see how we can support them, either through Amarillo with outsourced finance services or through Babella Pay as a potential umbrella partner.
