Join Smart Works Greater Manchester for an unforgettable evening celebrating the Past, Present and Future. This is a night for everyone who believes in the power of women, community and opportunity across our city region.

The highlight of the evening will be an inspiring fireside conversation with some of Greater Manchester’s most influential leaders. Cllr Bev Craig OBE, Leader of Manchester City Council, will open the discussion by exploring what it takes to build a thriving, inclusive city region. She’ll be joined by Hayley Roberts, Founder & CEO of Distology, and Darryl Cooke, Co‑Founder & Executive Chairman of gunnercooke, for a dynamic conversation on how businesses, civic leaders and charities can work together to create opportunity and drive meaningful change.

Sam Booth, Chief Executive of pro-manchester will be joining to provide an overview of how pro-manchester supports the ambition of “Building a city region where people can thrive,” highlighting the organisation’s role in strengthening collaboration across the business and charity community, to drive inclusive growth and expand opportunities across Greater Manchester.

Guests will also hear from Atika, one of their remarkable Client Champions, who will share her powerful journey back into employment, a reminder of the real, life‑changing impact that sits at the heart of everything Smart Works does.

Over the last ten years, Smart Works Greater Manchester has supported more than 6,000 local unemployed women into work. Now, they’re bringing together leaders from business, civic life and the community to explore how they continue building a Greater Manchester where every woman has the chance to thrive.

They will also take a moment to honour and celebrate the incredible contribution of their outgoing trustees Jan Iceton, Alison Lever and Sarah Bateman. Their leadership, commitment and belief in their mission have shaped who they are today and enabled them to reach thousands of women across the region. Their legacy will continue to inspire their work for years to come.
