Sharp launches Plasmacluster air purification and humidification range

The innovative range of advanced air cleaning technologies reduces the presence of airborne particulates and bacteria to create cleaner work and living environments

London, 24 March 2022 – Sharp UK today announces the launch of the Plasmacluster air purification and humidification range, specifically designed to maintain clean and healthy air in home and offices. The technology generates the same positive and negative ions that are present in naturally fresh air, providing businesses and homes with cleaner and safer air.

Sharp’s range creates Plasmacluster Ions and transmits these in the surroundings it is used, which attract to airborne particles. The particles are then deactivated by damaging the lipid structure and fall freely onto the ground. They are then sucked into the filters by the air flow generated by the purifier.

The pre-filter means that dust and harmful particles are absorbed, whilst the odour filter absorbs unpleasant odours and the HEPA filter removes almost 100% (99.97%) particulate matter such as pollen, allergens, viruses, mould and bacteria. The humidification system clears any impurities and releases clean water molecules back into the air.

What’s more, the devices come with a special system of built-in sensors that are able to continuously monitor the air quality and automatically adjust the working mode to its optimum humidity, temperature and filtration levels. The sensitivity of the sensors can be further adjusted by the user, adapting the automatic operation to individual needs if required.
