Chris Bishop, Senior Partner at Slater Heelis said: “For the crime team, working in the Criminal Justice System is a vocation, not a career. It is one of the most personal areas of law due to the incredible responsibility you have for not only someone’s future but, at times, their liberty.
“The team tailor their approach to each client and ensure that their specific needs and requirements are met, every time. It is fantastic to see their hard work recognized by the Manchester Legal Awards for the fourth consecutive year. To see Hannah from the team also now being recognised really shows they are punching above their weight and we are proud to have them represent Slater Heelis in this field.”
Rachel Fletcher, Managing Partner and Head of Crime and Regulatory added: “The same can be said of our Corporate and Commercial team. The breadth of experience and technical knowledge within the team led by Simon Wallwork, coupled with the strategic appointment of Carla Murray and Scott Sands last year has really elevated our position in such a competitive sector.
“The team’s exceptional service, ability to resolve tricky issues and unwavering support and advice to each clients’ particular circumstances is second to none and to be announced as a Manchester Legal Awards finalist is testament to their incredible achievements.
“Likewise for Alex and Hannah; what a coup to be in the running for the Solicitor of the Year title. They are both incredibly talented lawyers that handle themselves in a truly inspiring way. Even though they are now pitted against each other, we wish both of them the very best of luck in the most hotly contested category.”
