A new networking forum aimed at the next generation of business professionals across Manchester and the North West has been launched.

The group called Spark has been established by legal and professional services group, Gateley, and will enable attendees to connect with each other and grow their business network.

Four events have already been planned to provide a forum for inspiration, motivation and collaboration. It starts with a quiz night for bright sparks on Thursday 12 March at Be at One in Deansgate.

Spark was founded by Gateley Legal solicitors Ffion Brumwell-Hughes and Catherine Donnelly. Ffion said: “Spark builds on the success of our previous young professional network. We want the group to be a fun, relaxed environment for people to network with peers across all industries and professions.”

Gateley was recently announced as the number one deal maker nationally and scooped the coveted UK Law Firm of the Year award at the 2019 British Legal Awards. The business is one of the biggest legal advisers in the region and celebrates ten years of doing business in Manchester later this year.

Rod Waldie, partner and head of Gateley’s Manchester office, commented: “We support and develop talent within our business and Spark is a way of extending that support to the professional contacts that we have across the wider North West business community.

“Finding ways to collaborate is so important as it helps us to reach our full potential individually, as a business and as a region. I wish that there had been a group such as Spark when I was building my career.”
