The AI Governance Reality Check, Manchester (roundtable)

22nd October 2026, 10:10 am

How do you supervise a junior colleague who can’t yet tell when AI is wrong?

The question came up at The Curve’s AI roundtables in Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester earlier this year. Nobody in either room had a good answer.

Plenty of firms now have an AI policy. Fewer can say whether it’s being followed day to day, or who answers for it when an AI-assisted decision turns out to be wrong.

On Thursday 12 November, The Curve is bringing senior leaders from professional services together in Manchester to pick up where those conversations left off. The focus is practical: governance sized to real risk rather than blanket process, and built to hold up as models and regulation change. The aim is to leave with a clearer route from informal AI use to control you can defend.

It’s a small, closed-door roundtable under the Chatham House Rule, with breakfast provided and limited places.

Date: Thursday 12 November 2026
Time: 8:30am to 10:30am
Location: No.1 Circle Square, Manchester
