The Future of Green Energy

16th November 2020, 1:10 pm

Squire Patton Boggs have collated a panel of leading energy businesses in the North to discuss the future of green energy. We will be joined by The Rt. Hon. Kwasi Kwarteng, Richard Gwilliam at Drax, Helen Boyle at Cadent Gas, Victoria Merton at Peel Energy and Steve Cox at Electricity North West.

The Government’s target of net-zero-carbon has been set for 2050, and the transition to renewable resources has already begun. Transport, energy, waste, new-construction and existing architecture, amongst many more industries, will all be affected. Needless to say, that in order to achieve net-zero carbon, the necessary energy sources, infrastructure, and policy needs to match the ambitions of those already committed to net zero

Our panel will explore the future of Green Energy, the challenges faced by the industry, pose their questions to the Rt. Hon. Kwasi Kwarteng and highlight the necessary considerations for businesses as we make this transition.
