Introduce yourself:

I’m Tizzie Brass, a Private Banker at Arbuthnot Latham in Manchester. I work closely with private clients, particularly during pivotal life moments such as business sales, divorce, purchasing property, or passing on wealth to the next generation. My role also encompasses day to day banking, lending, investment management, and financial planning.

Career highlight:

Joining Arbuthnot Latham in 2023 was a real highlight for me. The bank’s commitment to building genuine relationships and keeping things personal really clicked with what I care about. It’s been incredibly rewarding to work with a team that puts clients at the heart of everything we do and empowers us to act in their best interests. Over the last 18 months I’ve had the opportunity to build a brilliant network and collaborate with some truly inspiring clients and key business introducers, each one with a unique story and journey.

Name three words that describe your personality:

Energetic, empathetic, and driven.

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?

What makes pro-manchester stand out is its strong sense of community and the wide variety of opportunities it offers. It connects professionals from across the region, creating space for collaboration, learning, and mutual support. It’s a fantastic platform for exchanging ideas and celebrating the energy and innovation driving Manchester’s business scene. I’m especially passionate about the Future-Pro team, which supports young professionals in building relationships, developing vital business skills, and connecting with like-minded peers through a blend of educational and social events, setting them up for future success.

What are your priorities for 2025?

2025 has been an incredible year so far; I’ve ticked off two big personal goals by running the Manchester Marathon and trekking the Great Wall of China, both to raise money for St Ann’s Hospice.

At work, my focus is on building even stronger client relationships, supporting their financial wellbeing, and helping them feel confident as the economy continues to shift and evolve. I’m also working towards my Investment Advice Diploma, which is an exciting milestone in my career – and I’m grateful to have the full support of Arbuthnot Latham throughout this journey.

What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

Manchester’s full of energy right now. Creativity is thriving, new developments are taking shape, and the city’s hosting some stand-out events. Big regeneration projects like the Etihad expansion and Castlefield Viaduct are transforming the urban landscape, while the local business community continues to drive innovation and growth. But it’s not without challenges – many businesses are still grappling with rising costs and economic uncertainty. It’s a blend of progress and resilience, which perfectly captures the spirit of Manchester.

Favourite meeting place in Manchester?

King Street has its own timeless charm, but my go-to is Haunt, just off St Peter’s Square. It’s perfect for everything from relaxed catch-ups to more focused meetings. The atmosphere is laid back, the location is ideal and the team always make you feel welcome.

Are there any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?

I’m always keen to connect with entrepreneurs and family-run businesses that value long-term thinking and appreciate the depth of genuine relationship banking. I also welcome conversations with clients who are reassessing their current banking arrangements, whether it’s reviewing lending arrangements, exploring investment options, or evaluating how well their financial services align with their ambitions. These discussions often open new perspectives and possibilities, and I take real satisfaction in helping clients uncover solutions that support both their immediate goals and long-term plans.
