National law firm TLT has announced another record-breaking year of financial results, with the firm achieving 11% revenue growth and hitting £208m in 2025/26 – doubling revenue over the last five years.
The firm’s continued growth is driven by its commitment to creating opportunity, for its clients and people, through innovation, collaboration and shared values, which sees it consistently winning market share and panel positions.
TLT invested significantly in people over the last year, in Manchester with the hire of corporate partner Paul Keohane in Q1 2025/26, and Q1 this year has seen an influx of strategic senior hires across licensing and real estate including Felicity Tulloch, Andrew Batterton and Julie Simms.
Investment continued in the firm’s market leading FutureLaw team – dedicated to enhancing legal services through driving digital transformation – which also doubled in headcount. Trailblazers in innovation, TLT announced a partnership with and firmwide roll-out of legal AI workspace Legora, and launched a new business ready AI solution, TLT Intelligence, bringing together the best of the firm’s AI tools, AI expertise, and AI-powered legal services in three flexible ways to empower clients to accelerate their adoption of technology, creating real business value.
TLT’s substantial growth is steeped in advising clients on significant transactions, regulatory scrutiny, high profile investigations and complex litigation, including advising Capita on a major cyber incident and associated litigation and regulatory response. In addition, the firm won Employment Team of the Year and Litigation Team of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards in 2025, securing a double victory for Litigation Team of the Year for the second consecutive year in 2026, showcasing its outstanding strength in the North West.
TLT’s growth in Manchester has been underpinned by a pipeline of high-profile client mandates which has continued into Q1 2026/27, including: advising venture capital firm PXN Ventures on a £5 million funding round into Stockport-based start-up Silveray; advising Hanab – a leading Dutch company in energy, technology and connectivity infrastructure – on two UK acquisitions and advising the shareholders of Revive! Auto Innovations on securing investment from Mobeus Equity Partners.
Across the rest of the year transactional success included: advising Stockport-based Drainage Consultants Limited on its sale to Metcor Group; advising long-standing client, K3 Capital Group, on its investment into two Manchester-based financial advisory firms and advising Manchester-based Praetura Ventures on its Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II investment into Liverpool-based sustainable advanced manufacturing start-up, Atomik AM.
TLT’s deeply embedded commitment to sustainability was evidenced including through its future-proofed premises, of which the firm’s Manchester location, Eden in Salford, is flagship, and the launch of a carbon offsetting partnership with Belmont Estate. TLT achieved a transformative 93% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 (market-based) greenhouse gas emissions compared to a FY2019 baseline, surpassing its 2030 goal six years ahead of schedule. The firm was awarded a ‘B’ score for good environmental management for the fourth consecutive year, from CDP; and a Silver rating from EcoVadis.
Other notable strategic, values-driven, partnership success included launching a new ‘Beyond Boundaries’ school leaver work experience programme in collaboration with The Black Apprentice Network and being among the first UK law firms to sign up to a new employer support programme spearheaded by leading Women’s Health Charity‚ Wellbeing of Women. Colleagues in Manchester have participated in a range of activities in support charity partner, Salford Foundation.
James Chadwick, Partner and Head of location in Manchester commented: “We’re proud to have delivered 15% revenue growth in Manchester over the last year, a testament to the commitment, creativity and collaboration demonstrated by our people in a challenging market, innovating to unlock opportunities for our clients and organisation.
