TLT has been shortlisted for three Manchester Legal Awards in recognition of its outstanding growth, culture and innovation in 2019.
The nomination for Large Law Firm of the Year recognises the firm’s rapid growth in Manchester in the last year, including six partner hires. The judges also praised TLT’s wellbeing and equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives, including its Women’s Network and focus on social mobility.
The nomination for Employment Team of the Year recognises the team’s successful work for its clients, including a proactive and innovative approach and exceptional advice and expertise that is helping to manage risk and drive business success.
TLT is also shortlisted for Law Firm Innovation, based on the success of its Future Law innovation programme in Manchester. In 2019 this saw the team develop a new technology-enabled solution for clients, to help increase control over the franchising process, transform efficiency and manage risk.
Graeme Orchison, partner and location head for TLT in Manchester, says: “We have seen a strong upward trajectory and sustained growth in Manchester in the last year and are really proud to be recognised as an attractive place to work by some of the region’s finest lawyers. These nominations are a real testament to the hard work and dedication of the team, and our unwavering commitment to client service, as well as creating a positive, engaging and supportive place to work.”
Recent senior hires in Manchester include insolvency partner Claire Graham; real estate partner Claire Hamilton; corporate partners Richard Life and Mark Traynor; employment partner Liz Cotton; and construction partner Sean McCay. Kuldip Dhanoya was promoted to partner in 2019.
