Law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has been recognised at the highest level in the recently released Chambers and Partners High Net Worth rankings.

The firm has been awarded a prestigious Band 2 ranking for Private Wealth Law in Manchester and surrounds and the team is described as “highly efficient and diligent”.

In addition to the firm’s top rating, three Manchester-based practitioners have been individually ranked as leading lawyers in their field.

Paul Davies is ranked in Band 1 and is an expert in technical tax and estate planning matters. Described as “exceptionally knowledgeable, especially with regards to overseas assets and trusts”, Paul is a Partner at Clarke Willmott.

Senior Associate Nicola Walker is ranked in Band 2 and deals with all aspects of Private Client work. In a testimonial used by the Guide to determine rankings,  Nicola is described as “very easy to talk to, she explains things better than any lawyer I’ve ever dealt with and is always positive too.” This client also says: “She unfailingly tries to find a solution before letting us know the problems; she manages to find a way around most things and come up with good solutions.”

Anthony Fairweather, head of Clarke Willmott’s Private Client team, said: “We are delighted with this year’s High Net Worth Guide which has included Clarke Willmott’s Manchester private client team for the first time.

“We have recently invested heavily in new team members with the appointment of several experienced Private Client lawyers and we now have an extremely strong team who each bring their own strengths and work well together.”

The Chambers and Partners High Net Worth guide covers private wealth management work and related specialisms, features in-depth editorial about the leading lawyers and law firms for wealthy individuals and families.

Clarke Willmott LLP is a national law firm with seven offices across the country, in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton.
