22nd January 2026, 2:02 pm

A new workshop is launching to help Greater Manchester businesses strengthen their innovation strategy and unlock valuable funding opportunities. “Protect, Fund, Grow: IP and R&D Tax Credits with Marks & Clerk and Leyton” takes place on Wednesday 11 February 2026, hosted by the Centre for Sustainable Innovation at the University of Salford.

This fully funded, in‑person event brings together global IP specialists Marks & Clerk and innovation funding experts Leyton to provide practical guidance on protecting intellectual property, commercialising ideas, and maximising R&D tax credit claims. Attendees will gain insights into managing risk, reducing tax liabilities, and identifying new avenues for growth.

The workshop is open to any business interested in strengthening its approach to IP and innovation funding—particularly SMEs looking to futureproof their operations and accelerate growth. The agenda includes expert-led IP sessions, an R&D tax credits overview, and networking opportunities.
