Harrison Lee
Senior Associate, Trade Mark Attorney

Harrison advises emerging and established brands on trade mark protection and strategy. Working with clients in sectors such as sportstech, financial services, green tech, FMCG and fashion, he focuses on commercially driven strategies that support growth, expansion and long-term brand value.

Recognised by Legal 500 as one of only four UK-based trade mark attorneys in its “Leading Associates” category, Harrison thrives on the diversity of his work, supporting clients ranging from innovative start-ups to global multinationals. He understands that no two businesses are alike, and he tailors intellectual property (IP) strategies that reflect each client’s specific commercial priorities – whether that means designing flexible, cost-effective portfolios or implementing robust protection to safeguard reputation and market position.

Harrison also leads Potter Clarkson’s relationship with the Global Sports Innovation Center (GSIC), an international sportstech innovation ecosystem. Through this role, he has supported the firm’s involvement in GSIC initiatives, including educational content, member workshops and conference activity focused on helping sportstech businesses protect, commercialise and build value from their intellectual property. He recently co-delivered a GSIC Summit session on IP challenges in sports related industries, exploring how trade mark protection, brand strategy and wider IP planning can help innovators become more investment ready and better positioned for growth.

In addition to his client work, Harrison is deeply committed to IP education. He provides trade mark tutorials to trainee patent attorneys, lectures at Brunel University London, Nottingham Law School and the University of Nottingham, and is one of five lawyers who lead the firm’s IP Summer School for clients.
