Introduce yourself

I’m Motayo, Co-Founder of mtb studios, a Manchester-based video production company. I lead on the technical and operational side of production, covering camera systems, lighting, audio capture and the practical delivery of shoots.

We work with events, brands, and organisations to create video content that is visually considered, technically reliable, and built around clear communication objectives, so the final work not only looks professional, but serves a defined purpose for the client.

Career highlight

A career highlight has been seeing mtb studios’ work lead to referrals, repeat opportunities and relationships with recognised organisations across Manchester and beyond.

One standout project was our work with the University of Manchester, where we were able to bring together planning, production and technical delivery to create content that met a clear communication objective. For me, that reflected the kind of work we want mtb studios to be known for: professional, purposeful, and built around the client’s wider goals.

Name three words that describe your personality

Three words I’d use to describe my personality are driven, honest, and curious. I’m someone who likes to understand things properly, improve quickly, and approach work in a straightforward way.

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?

The best thing about pro-Manchester is the people. It brings together a really strong mix of businesses across Manchester and creates the right environment to build genuine relationships, not just exchange business cards.

What are your priorities for 2026?

My priorities for 2026 are to build on the momentum we have created at mtb studios, strengthen our client relationships, and continue growing the business sustainably.

We are focused on developing more long-term partnerships, refining our systems as we scale, and delivering high-quality video content that helps clients communicate clearly, build trust and showcase their work with confidence.

What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

I’d say the biggest thing is Manchester’s growth. There is so much investment, regeneration and opportunity happening across the city, especially around business, housing, transport and the creative industries. But the most important part is making sure that growth doesn’t just look good on paper, it needs to create real opportunities for local people, local businesses, and communities across Greater Manchester.

Favourite meeting place in Manchester

My favourite meeting place in Manchester is House of Social. It has a great balance of being relaxed, open and professional, with good food and enough space to have more focused conversations. The co-working element also makes it feel like a natural place for meetings, work and building connections.

Are there any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?

As more companies continue to see video as an essential tool in 2026, rather than something that is simply “nice to have”, I’d like to meet businesses that are beginning to make that shift more seriously.

We are particularly interested in connecting with organisations that want to use video to communicate more clearly, build trust with their audience, document their work, showcase their people, or support growth across marketing, events and internal communications.

That could include professional services firms, universities, charities, event organisers, property businesses, hospitality brands, and growing companies across Manchester that recognise the value of high-quality video but may need the right production partner to help shape and deliver it.
