Litsa Smith opens the third cohort of By Design, coaching programme for service business founders

Litsa Smith, business mentor and coach at Work With Litsa, is opening the third cohort of By Design, a six-month strategic support programme for established service-based founders who are ready to grow, refine or evolve their businesses with more clarity and structure.

By Design combines 1:1 coaching, small-group support and weekly coworking sessions, and is designed for founders who have already built a successful business but feel they’ve reached the limit of what they can achieve without dedicated time to think and plan strategically. Rather than delivering generic content or templates, the programme gives each founder tailored support across six areas of their business: from vision and business model through to offer positioning, sales strategy, client experience, operations and financials.

Having run two previous cohorts, Litsa has refined the programme around what founders repeatedly say they need most: consistent 1:1 access, a small peer group for accountability, and a rhythm that keeps strategic thinking from being pushed to the bottom of the list.

The third cohort runs from September 2026 to the end of February 2027 and is limited to eight founders, with a mix of 1:1 kickoff and strategy sessions, monthly group calls, a private Slack community and three in-person meet-ups in central Manchester.

Litsa brings over a decade of corporate leadership experience from L’Oréal, THG and Warner Bros into her coaching work. She developed By Design after hearing the same challenge from founders again and again: having outgrown the way they used to work but lacking the space and support to shift into a more intentional way of running their business.
