2022 In Focus: Your pro-manchester membership

Friday, 11th February 2022

We are already into the second month of 2022 and already so much has happened. In the past week alone we have welcomed over 1000 delegates to our various events, including an outstanding 600 at the Made in Manchester Awards and over 300 to the Corporate Finance lunch. It is still hard to comprehend the challenges and uncertainty the past two years have thrown at us but as the green shoots of growth and recovery begin to flourish across the city, now is the time to be looking ahead.

Here at pro-manchester, we have been continually bolstered by the creativity and optimism of our community, embracing new ways of working and new ways of making the most of your membership. During 2021 our membership numbers have grown and we have been delighted to welcome new member firms from a diverse range of sectors. Members have stuck by us and this year we saw a record membership retention rate of 90%. For this, we want to extend an enormous thank you to our community for your continued support and commitment.

In 2022 we know good, old fashioned networking and business development will be a huge priority for all of our members as businesses look to create growth and you’ll be glad to know our priorities are exactly the same as yours. We are committed to creating opportunities that allow you to extend your network, make new connections and develop new business through our extensive events programme and our sector-focused approach to collaboration. With live events and face to face networking back in full swing we’ll also be on hand to facilitate those all-important introductions and to help you maximise your people potential and brand through our varied and targeted sponsorship offers.

We know the needs of our member firms change and that’s why our programme is constantly evolving to ensure we’re addressing the issues which matter to you right now. In 2022 we will be taking a people centred approach with an increased focus on equality, diversity and inclusion, sustainability and health and wellbeing. We will be providing a range of opportunities to explore and get involved with these topics through our events and sector group activity.

As mentioned our events programme for 2022 is already well underway and we’ve been delighted to welcome many of you to events including our Green Tech Conference and the Made in Manchester Awards. We have also seen new additions to our executive team alongside being awarded membership of The Good Employment Charter. But our ambitions for growth aren’t stopping there. We are investing in key roles across the team to ensure we’re providing the best possible service and experience for our member firms and we’re looking forward to 2022 being a year full of growth and ambition for the whole pro-manchester community.

We love to hear from our member firms so if you’d like to discuss any aspect of your membership then please do get in touch with [email protected]
