Chair's Nominated Charity: Cash for Kids
Hits Radio Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping the children that need it most across Greater Manchester. Their mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our local community who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. They believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.
Hits Radio Cash for Kids work with grassroots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go.
Their current main focus is on providing vital support to the children and families in our city who have been affected most by the cost-of-living crisis. Since January 2023, they have distributed over £103,000 via their cost-of-living grants which have provided basic essentials such as fresh food, heating, electricity and warm clothing for 2060 local children.
In 2022, they gave a helping hand to 44,122 children living within the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester and, as a small team of three, they rely on the amazing support of local businesses, schools and individuals to make this possible.

Meet our VIP – Danny Simpson!
We’d like to properly introduce you to the VIP that we’ll be celebrating at this year’s pro-manchester Summer Ball… the man, the myth, the legend – Danny Simpson!
For those of you who don’t know Danny (and we imagine there’s very few of you who don’t), he is Co-Founder and CEO at MID Group and has been an integral part of our board here at pro-manchester since 2019, but more importantly, Danny has been our Chair for the past year and has worked closely alongside the team to ensure pro-manchester’s growth and success!
We’re all sad to see Danny step down as Chair but we couldn’t let him go without one last pro-manchester style party (aka the best type of party there is), celebrating his successes of the past year and getting everyone together to do what he does best – network!
We’d love if you could join us to do exactly that, alongside an evening of sunset drinks, seasonal food and some of Manchester’s finest live entertainment; we promise, this event really isn’t one to be missed.
