About the Speakers:

Michael Taylor Editor - The Business Desk

Michael Taylor is the Editor TheBusinessDesk.com in the North West. He is an experienced journalist and broadcaster having been editorial director of Insider Media after a decade covering the television business. Most recently he held a senior role at Manchester Metropolitan University and completed an academic thesis on regional devolution, later working for a member of Andy Burnham’s cabinet in a communications and strategy role. He also plays music on the radio and has written a novel set in Cheshire against the backdrop of the financial crisis of 2008.

Tom Lanaway Digital Project Manager - connective3

Tom is a Digital Project Manager at connective3, a leading digital marketing agency, as well as an experienced video producer. Since being diagnosed with ADHD 15 years ago, he has developed a unique life system called the ‘second brain’, to help overcome the challenges of his ‘scattered human mind’. He is a passionate advocate for neurodiversity, including raising awareness and empowering others to build their own systems. Through his newsletter, Chaos to Clarity, he explores topics such as AI, neuroscience, and system building in the workplace and everyday life. He uses AI to power his second brain and is always seeking new ways to innovate and share his insights.

 

Dan Sodergren Founder - Your Flock

Ted X talker, keynote speaker, ex marketing agency owner, digital trainer, serial tech startup founder and now media spokesperson Dan Sodergren’s main area of interest is the future of work, remote work, AI and data and tech startups helping the world become a better place to live and work. He is co-founder of www.YourFLOCK.co.uk – the employee feedback platform.

In his spare time, as well as being a dad, Dan is a digital marketing and technology expert for TV shows and the BBC. Occasionally donning the cape of consumer champion on shows like BBC WatchDog, the One Show and RipOffBritain and being a marketing tech specialist for SuperShoppers and RealFakeAndUnknown and BBC Breakfast.

He is also a host and guest on podcasts and webinars speaking as a tech futurist. As well as being a guest on countless radio shows. And a remote reporter / content creator for tech companies at tech events and shows.

Tom Oulton Digital Transformation and BIM Lead - Rider Levett Bucknall

Tom is Digital Transformation and BIM Lead at Rider Levett Bucknall. Tom is an experienced digital construction professional with extensive industry experience including working on-site with specialist SME contractors to implementing digital transformation strategies for international asset portfolio holders. Tom has an in-depth expert knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the ISO19650 suite of documents and guidance and their application across all industry sectors and clients.

Tom is currently chair of the Constructing Excellence “Digital by Default” group and Constructing Excellence in Yorkshire and Humber, co-chair of the nima Regions and part of the Government Industry Interoperability Group (GIIG).

Jo Scott Founder & Group Managing Partner - Truth Creative

Jo comes from a global advertising agency background.She understands the importance of strategic campaign work and its placement in equal measure. Jo has worked across a multitude of both B2C and B2B client sectors, delivering through-the-line campaigns for the likes of: Britannia Building Society, Magnet Kitchens, DAF Trucks, Thomson Reuters and smaller SME businesses. At Truth, Jo has worked across a diverse range of industries to support TTL campaign work, including but not limited to: The Authentic Food Company, M247, Newcastle University London, University Academy 92, Shaws of Darwen and GC Aesthetics.
