Every organisation hits moments that shape how it moves forward – moments that test teams, shift dynamics or bring opportunity. Whether it’s winning new business, navigating rising costs, or adjusting after someone key leaves, these are the turning points that define how a team performs.

This hands-on, high-energy session will explore what makes organisations thrive through those moments. It’ll give you a chance to think about your own team and business, have some honest conversations with others in the room, and take away practical insights to apply straight away.

You’ll get a simple, clear framework to explore eight areas that drive performance – from leadership and clarity of direction, to how engaged your people are. You’ll see where you’re strong, where the gaps might be, and where it’s worth focusing if you want to boost effectiveness without breaking the bank.

You’ll walk away with:

  • A better understanding of eight key areas that impact performance
  • Fresh perspective on how your own organisation stacks up
  • Insight into where small changes could make a big difference
  • The chance to hear what others are wrestling with and what’s working for them

Expect a session that’s interactive, fun, fast-paced and grounded in real business

About the Speakers:

Paul Thompson Managing Director - Westminster Associates

Paul partners with Boards, founders and senior leadership teams to create the clarity, alignment and honest conversations that underpin sustainable performance. With more than three decades of global experience, he has worked alongside more than 300 organisations across 20 countries, supporting leaders at pivotal moments including growth, investment, buyouts, founder transitions and cultural reset.

His style is pragmatic, commercially grounded and calmly direct. Paul brings a sharp strategic lens, a strong instinct
for organisational dynamics and the confidence to ask the questions others often avoid.

He is known for immersing himself quickly in the reality of a business, cutting through noise and helping leaders
translate insight into practical action.

Beyond client work, Paul actively supports a number of regional initiatives and community causes including Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Trust, The Hive Wirral Youth Zone, Shelter Northwest and the LGBTQ Northwest Business Awards.

He also serves as a Community First Responder for the Northwest Ambulance Service, responding to cardiac arrest and heart attack call outs, which certainly keeps leadership challenges in perspective.

Jack Collins Director - Westminster Associates

Jack partners with senior leaders to create the clarity, alignment and honest dialogue that underpin high performance. He works with executive teams and emerging leaders to strengthen trust, accountability and collective effectiveness, helping them move from good
intentions to consistent behaviour in practice.

With a background in legal services, Jack developed a strong commercial perspective and the ability to weigh competing viewpoints in complex and high-pressure environments. That experience shapes the way he works today, bringing a calm, balanced approach to conversations that require both objectivity and challenge.

His style is grounded, thoughtful and quietly direct. Jack listens carefully, asks considered questions and ensures that every voice in the room is heard, while keeping discussions anchored to what matters most for the organisation. He helps teams look beyond surface level awareness and focus on the behaviours that genuinely influence how people work together.

Colleagues and clients value his ability to create the conditions for honest discussion and practical progress.
By combining insight with clear action, he helps leaders translate reflection into meaningful change across their teams and organisations.
